JIM MURRAY SUGGESTS LOCH LOMOND GROUP WHISKIES ARE MALTS “WHICH MEAN BUSINESS”
Glen Scotia Single Malts receive high scores in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2017
Building on their successful scoring in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible last year, Glen Scotia are pleased to announce two expressions have been added for review this year which include: Glen Scotia Double Cask and Glen Scotia 15 Year Old.
This year, Glen Scotia 15 Year Old impressed with a brilliant 91.5/100 with Murray noting the nose in particular saying “A serious buzz of lively working tannin in this. All dark sugars and spice, it suggests a malt which means business.” Glen Scotia Double Cask received a high score of 85.5/100.
These scores follow upon Loch Lomond Group’s impressive scoring in 2016 when Glen Scotia Distillery Edition No1 received 94/100, putting it in the “Whisky Bible Liquid Gold” category.
