We’re Hiring: European Sales Manager

The Loch Lomond Group is an independent distiller and blender of some of the world’s finest and rarest scotch whiskies. With distilleries in Alexandria and Campbeltown brands include Loch LomondGlen ScotiaLittlemill, Inchmurrin, Glens Vodka and the newly released Ben Lomond Gin.

Loch Lomond Group have recently been shortlisted for a variety of awards at the Scottish Whisky Awards including Scottish Distillery of the Year nominations for both their Loch Lomond and Glen Scotia distilleries. This follows success at this years’ San Francisco World Spirits CompetitionThe World Whisky Awards and International Spirits Challenge across the malts range. They are also in the midst of a five-year partnership with The Open, sponsoring the event and creating special edition releases.

Following this period of growth and success, the business is now looking to recruit a European Sales Manager to act as the key commercial contact for European markets, managing the Loch Lomond portfolio and having full P&L responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with a passion for whisky and the spirits industry.

The European Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of the global brand strategy across European markets through the effective development and management of the distributor network. The chosen candidate will be in charge of regularly reviewing, scoping and recommending the best route to market options for Loch Lomond Group, whilst also shaping strategies for sales growth and establishing brand priorities, levels of investment, volume and profit goals by country.

Candidates should be highly motivated, autonomous and possess the following experience and skills:

Previous experience of working in commercial, sales or marketing roles in the spirits industry
Commercially astute with strong financial acumen and understanding of distribution landscape/route to market and competitive environment
Proven connections across European distributor networks with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, including both negotiation and communication abilities
Language skills would be advantageous
