Whisky Distillery of the Year Finalist

We are delighted to share that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for "Distillery of the Year" in this years Scottish Whisky Awards.

Scottish Whisky Awards

Now in its third year, the Scottish Whisky Awards aims to recognise the best Scotch on the market by rewarding people and teams working to deliver Scotland’s greatest global product. The independent competition is judged by a panel of experts drawn from across the sector, bringing together industry experience and market knowledge to recognise the greatest achievements in the production of Scotch.

The awards judge categories on both business and whisky tasting categories. The business awards are presented to highlight the world-leading and innovative performance of Scotland’s whisky distillers in a range of categories covering marketing, tourism and innovative business practices. The tasting category is a blind tasted by an independent tasting panel and the products achieving the highest marks are awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year

We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the distillery of the year category.

We have seen a very busy few years at Glen Scotia Distillery through continued new product development, limited release whiskies and various award wins, most notably our 25 year old being named Best in Show Whisky at San Francisco World Spirits Challenge earlier this year.

During what has been challenging 12 months we have continued to engage with our customers across the world through virtual tastings, whilst simultaneously engaging and assisting our local community at every opportunity, driven by our small dedicated team in Campbeltown.

Tasting Categories

In addition to this, our single malts have been shortlisted for a number of awards in the tasting categories:

-Single Malt No Age Statement; Glen Scotia Double Cask

-Single Malt No Age Statement; Glen Scotia Victoriana

--Single Malt No Age Statement; Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour

-Single Malt 13 – 16 Year Old; Glen Scotia 15 Year Old

-Single Malt 17 – 20 Year Old; Glen Scotia 18 Year Old

We look forward to hearing the results at the ceremony on St Andrews Day, 30th November.
