Discover our Unique Distillery & Story

We are intent on producing award-winning whisky that stays with you long after the finish has faded from your palate. Our whisky distillery tours are just one way for us to share this, our passion, with you.

The Glen Scotia distillery still maintains much of its original equipment dating back to when our story began, and we continue to use traditional methods to carefully create the special maritime character that represents our distillery and town so well.

So, if you consider yourself an adventurer when it comes to whisky, our scotch distillery tours are the perfect medium for you to explore our town's resilience and be a part of its renaissance.

An Authentic Whisky Experience in the Whiskiest Place in the World

What sets our wee town apart from the Highlands, Lowlands and other whisky-producing regions & distilleries in Scotland is so much more than what you find in the bottle. In the Victorian age, Campbeltown was known as the 'Whisky Capital of the World', a bustling town with almost 30 distilleries and a port brimming with boats queuing to carry off casks to the rest of the world.

Today, there are only three distilleries remaining in this almost-forgotten region. Glen Scotia is one of them. Our single malt whiskies have won many gold awards, and while we might be one of the smallest, we are considered one of the best whisky distilleries in Scotland.

Glen Scotia was named 'Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year' for 2021 by the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Our location promises a chance for every whisky lover — from the amateur to the connoisseur — to explore how a distilling history filled with passion, knowledge, experience and craft can produce a scotch whisky range with distinctive maritime style and enduring stories.

Take a trip to the whiskiest place in the world for a Campbeltown distillery tour and give yourself a taste of unique Scottish whisky.

When you pour a dram of Glen Scotia, it's more than just the whisky in the glass — and our whisky distillery tours will show you just why.
